Join Venture Café for a day of innovations in energy, clean technology, and climate mitigation! This year, our annual conference Energy Connect will focus on female representation and equity in the energy and clean technology spaces nationwide, and address the challenges and opportunities for Cleantech startups working in the climate-focused areas in the Greater Boston area. During the “Investing in Diversity” session, energy investors will share their insights into funding diversity and what can be done to facilitate investments in minority-owned ventures.

2:00 – 3:00 PM | FIRESIDE CHAT: Women in Power & Cleantech In this session, female innovators from across the country will share their stories of making it happen in the industry, discuss recent trends and developments in energy and clean technology, and address the pressing issues of female representation and racial equity in the most innovative industries in the world.
3:00 – 4:00 PM | Energy, Climate, and COVID-19 This session will focus on opportunities available for entrepreneurs locally: at the intersection of energy, clean technology, and solutions for mitigating the climate change. The guest experts will discuss why Covid time may be perfect for starting a venture addressing the climate change space and provide insights into the areas ripe for innovation.
3:00 – 5:00 PM | Virtual Networking Room We’re taking precautions seriously amid the Coronavirus outbreak. What else are we taking seriously? Our mission: “Connecting Innovators to Make Thing Happen”. While it’s up to every-one-of-us to flatten the curve and curb this outbreak, it doesn’t mean we can’t stay connected. So join us in this virtual gathering to talk business or simply share your thoughts in this unique time in history.
4:00 – 4:45 PM | Investing in Diversity Why does diversity matter when making investment decisions? Join us for a panel discussion on how companies and investors can place a great emphasis on D&I (Diversity and Inclusion) in both their portfolios and in their corporate culture.
